Joan E. Leanos has been a CPA since 1980. After receiving a BS in Finance at the University of Maryland in 1975, she was awarded a Master of Science in Taxation from American University in Washington, D.C. in 1993. She is a member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants. Ms. Leanos has over 30 years experience in the preparation of individual and business tax returns, as well as representation before the IRS. A third generation Annapolitan, Ms. Leanos comes from a family of small business owners. She is a Past Trustee of the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra and is involved with various civic work in Annapolis. Currently, she is serving on the House Corporation Board of the Alpha Phi Sorority at the University of Maryland. She also serves on the Board of the Ginger Cove Foundation. Joan is also on the Steering Committee for the Annapolis Film Festival.
