Joan Leanos has served as a Trustee on the Board of the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra for the past six years. Her tenure just ended in June of 2010.
She now is serving on the House Corporation Board at Alpha Phi Sorority at the University of Maryland. Joan joined this chapter when she attended the University of Maryland at College Park. She is also a board member of the Ginger Cove Foundation. She was appointed in the summer of 2011.
She also served as President of the West Annapolis Community Association.
Past Mayor Ellen Moyer appointed her to the committe for the Rowe Boulevard and College Creek Redecking Committee. The group’s task was to oversee the architecture and enviornmental issues for the project.
